About 52 Flicks
Good films, real English, real jobs.
52 Flicks picks one great film a week, reviews it honestly, and turns it into a free English lesson. It's made for families, faith communities and immigrant communities, especially people learning English through the films they love.
Who makes it
52 Flicks is built by Pearl 27, which also employs the people who run it. Our team members live in and come from Haiti, Ecuador, Nigeria, Congo, Ghana, Rwanda and Kenya, and between them speak about a dozen languages.
That's on purpose. Many of the people we serve are learning English, just as many of us did. Our goal is to grow sites in more languages, each run by people from the community it serves.

- Angel Guild commissions. When you join the Angel Guild through a link on this site, Angel Studios pays Pearl 27 a commission.
- Donations, through our fiscal sponsor. Charitable gifts for the 52 Flicks project are made to UI Charitable, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, not to Pearl 27. How it works
- Later, optional learner tools. We plan extra practice tools for learners who want them. The weekly lessons stay free.
- Where the money goes. It pays the people who run 52 Flicks, in places where there's talent but not enough opportunity. Two products, one purpose: creating jobs.
When you join the Angel Guild through a link on this site, Pearl 27 earns a commission. That money helps create jobs for the people who run 52 Flicks. 52 Flicks is independent and not affiliated with Angel Studios.

About our fiscal sponsor
Pearl 27, the company behind 52 Flicks, is a for-profit business, so we partner with UI Charitable to accept charitable gifts. UI Charitable (University Impact, EIN 82-1504018) is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in Provo, Utah.
When you donate, your gift goes to UI Charitable, which sends you a tax receipt and grants the funds to support the 52 Flicks project. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. This isn't tax advice; ask a tax professional about your own situation.
